About University of South Carolina Aiken

The University of South Carolina Aiken, also referred to as simly USC Aiken or USCA, is a 4-year, public coeducational university located in Aiken, which is the county seat of Aiken County, situated in the US state of South Carolina, a city with a population estimated at a number of more than 25 000 inhabitants, during the 2000 census.

USC Aiken was established in 1961 and was moved to its present site in 1972. Since then, it has constantly grown, today having an enrollment approximated at a number of more than 3000, and offering baccalaureate degrees in 35 major areas of study and master's degrees in 3 areas, among other educational programs.

Athletics

USCA'a athletic teams are known as the USC Aiken Pacers, which compete in NCAA Division II, in Peach belt Conference, in various sports, for both men and women, including in basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, soccer, cross country, cheerleading and volleyball. Their distinctive colors are cardinal, navy and white.
